Energy and Embedded Systems for Transport research
Cherif Larouci is research professor at ESTACA engineering school, Head of Energy and Embedded Systems for Transport research department of ESTACA’LAB. He received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble in 2002. In the same year, he joined ESTACA as an Assistant Professor. He was the head of ESTACA’s Control and System laboratory between 2006 and 2013. He received the accreditation to supervise research (HDR degree) from Paris-Sud University in 2013.
His research interests include modelling, design and optimization of power electronics converters under multi-physical constraints (volume/weight, cost, efficiency, thermal, electromagnetic compatibility, reliability, control ...) for automobile and aeronautics transport systems, optimization of mechatronic systems, embedded energy management as well as reliability and fault tolerant control of embedded electrical systems. The main considered applications are electric and hybrid vehicles, electric and more electric aircraft, autonomous vehicle, drones and soft mobility systems with electric assistance.
